The HMUG Macintosh Ports System (mports) is based on the bash shell and a handfull of Python scripts. These scripts can be found in the bin directory. Configuration files are in the etc directory. There is a (currently incomplete) set of man pages in the man directory. To use mports to install packages you have to set the $DEVDIR shell variable and add $DEVDIR/bin to the $PATH.
To register installed packages you will also need to add the /usr/local/var/mports/mreg.dat file. For building packages you will also need to have a working installation of mysql to store the package dependency data. Version changes can be found in the ViewCVS tree.
Note: Not all the packages listed here are currently supported.
